What are the side effects?
Profhilo® has an excellent safety profile, with minimal downtime. As with any injectable treatment, mild side effects such as redness, swelling, small bumps, or bruising at the injection sites can occur. These are usually temporary and resolve within 24–72 hours. Rarely, more significant reactions may occur, and these will be discussed during your consultation.
Who should not have treatment
Profhilo® is not suitable for everyone. You should not have Profhilo® if you:
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have an active skin infection or inflammation at the injection site
Have a known allergy to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine (if used)
Have bleeding disorders or are taking blood-thinning medication (may require assessment)
